We look at how many sessions you have between your first session and the end of May. Then we split that into equal payments, which we run on the first of each month.
You can still reschedule or cancel sessions, even with a weekly time. You have two options on how to approach that.
1 - If you know of any dates that you want to completely skip (Spring Break, holidays that we're open, etc), let us know when you set up your weekly time. We'll take that off your schedule and drop the cost of your monthly payment.
2 - Once we have situated your weekly time, you can still cancel or reschedule with 24 hours notice. In the case of a cancellation, you'll get a credit for a make up session, which you can use anytime before the end of May. You can do the make up session with any tutor.
You can add, reschedule, or cancel sessions directly through the website. If you have any credits, that will be applied first.
If you don't have any credits, we will run your card after the session.
Homework help is one of the easiest (and cheapest) ways you can help yourself. Simply email us your homework, let us check it, and we'll send back corrections or notes.
Students often struggle because they think they're doing something right when they're actually reinforcing bad habits.
Another benefit is that it allows us to help students between sessions. That can help students from falling behind, so if they need a session later it won't be starting from scratch.
Added perk: Any student with a weekly time gets unlimited homework help, so it won't raise the cost of tutoring.
The long answer is that we try to ask that you don't book sessions until you know you definitely want it. It gets harder to fill open times as the date gets closer, so that often leaves the tutor with a gap in their schedule.
The short answer is to email us and we can cancel it.
We do require 24 hours notice to cancel a session. Otherwise we have to pay the tutor and are unable to refund the session. In the case of an illness, let us know by 11 am and we will waive the 24 hour policy. We are unable to credit a session regardless of illness if it is past 11 am.
Lastly, we realize that things come up so it's no big deal if you cancel a session once or twice. That said, we reserve the right to turn off your ability to schedule online if it is happening consistently (or pay for sessions in advance).
